Whether you stop or not is your decision, but we always recommend being aware of each state’s traffic laws that you’re driving through. In the list below, we’ll identify the key components the states have in their weigh station laws. Some match up with others, and some have unique characteristics. The weigh station staff generally want to do their due diligence with us so they can focus on the ones that need their attention.Īs we mentioned before, each state has its own laws. The attendants know that we RVers are friendly folk just looking to enjoy our vacations. Whatever the reason, this isn’t personal. Someone else with a similar description did something wrong, your vehicle weight may be the issue or many other factors. There is something about your vehicle and/or RV they are looking for. Our best recommendation for what to do at a weigh station is to be pleasant and follow instructions. There are many reasons RVs are asked to pull over. ![]() If you’re in a state which requires RVs to go through weigh stations or must pull in, your weigh station protocols for your RV should always start with staying calm. If you’re unsure, it’s always a good idea to contact the state’s DMV ahead of time to learn its weigh station laws in detail. If you are purely a privately-owned RV on vacation or full-timer where your RV has nothing to do with your business, you can keep your foot on the gas pedal and continue to enjoy the scenery. Whatever they tell you, follow their instructions. The attendant may tell you that you do or don’t have to stop at the other weigh stations. More than likely, you won’t have to pay anything, but you did comply with the law. Your gross combined weight may be over 8,000 pounds but is well under what they consider an extreme weight. The safest course of action would be to pull in, explain yourself to the attendant, and let them decide. If you run your home jams and jellies business out of your RV and you claim your RV as a business asset, the interpretation of “business-owned” could be tricky. Fee collection is usually designated for those vehicles that are above extreme weights.įor example, The state of Montana requires business-owned RV over 8,000 pounds to stop at all weigh stations in the state. If you do feel the need to stop at a weigh station, follow the instructions of the attendant of that station. If you bypass a weigh station, unless you are specifically ordered to do so by a police officer, you’re going to be just fine. For Most States, Privately-Owned RVs Aren’t Required to Stop at Weigh Stations. Before you retain your lawyer, we’ll break it down for you. This makes the meaning of the law and the interpretation of the language seem like two different ideas. When Would I Need to Stop at a Weigh StationĮach state has its own laws regarding weigh stations.

Variations Margaritas come in a variety of flavors and colors. He concocted a mixture of equal parts tequila, Controy orange liqueur, lime, and crushed ice in a salt-rimmed glass. Ī later, certainly false, story is that the margarita was invented in October 1961, at a party in Houston, Texas, by partygoer Robert James "Rusty" Thomson while acting as bartender. Margarita is Spanish for Daisy, which is a nickname for Margaret. Without noting a specific recipe or inventor, a drink called the Tequila Daisy was mentioned in the Syracuse Herald as early as 1936. A recipe for a tequila-based cocktail first appeared in the 1930 book My New Cocktail Book by G. The first known publication of a margarita recipe was in the December 1953 issue of Esquire, with a recipe calling for an ounce of Sierra tequila, a dash of triple sec, and the juice of half a lime or lemon. He supposedly named it after the Spanish version of her name, Margarita. However, Jose Cuervo was already running ad campaigns for the margarita three years earlier, in 1945, with the slogan, "Margarita: It's more than a girl's name." The Balinese RoomĪnother common origin tale begins the cocktail's history at the legendary Balinese Room in Galveston, Texas, where, in 1948, head bartender Santos Cruz created the margarita for singer Peggy (Margaret) Lee. Tommy Hilton reportedly attended, bringing the drink back to the Hilton chain of hotels. Others say the inventor was Dallas socialite Margarita Sames when she concocted the drink for her guests at her Acapulco, Guerrero vacation home in 1948. Mexico's official news agency Notimex and many experts have said Morales has the strongest claim to having invented the margarita. Morales later left bartending in Mexico to become a US citizen, where he worked as a milkman for 25 years. There are also claims that the margarita was first mixed in Juárez, Chihuahua at Tommy's Place Bar on July 4, 1942, by Francisco "Pancho" Morales. Hussong's, however, has enjoyed widespread popularity as the home of the original margarita. Cesena was a ranch operator by trade, and it is disputed whether she was the daughter of a German ambassador as the story claims. ![]() Bartender Don Carlos Orozco reputedly named a new drink after Mexican-German patron Margarita Henkel Cesena, a frequent customer to the cantina. Hussong's Cantina also claims to have been the site of the margarita's creation in Ensenada, Baja California, in 1941. Īccording to Jose Cuervo, the cocktail was invented in 1938 by a bartender in honor of Mexican showgirl Rita de la Rosa. The story was debunked in 1992 by the San Diego Reader. ![]() This story was related by Herrera and also by bartender Albert Hernandez, acknowledged for popularizing a margarita in San Diego after 1947, at the La Plaza restaurant in La Jolla. One of the earliest stories is of the margarita being invented in 1938 by Carlos "Danny" Herrera at his restaurant Rancho La Gloria, halfway between Tijuana and Rosarito, Baja California, created for customer and former Ziegfeld dancer Marjorie King, who was allergic to many spirits, but not to tequila. The Cafe Royal Cocktail Book, published in the UK in 1937, contains a recipe for a Picador using the same concentrations of tequila, triple sec, and lime juice as a margarita. A sidecar and gin daisy are other related drinks.) There is an account from 1936 of Iowa newspaper editor James Graham finding such a cocktail in Tijuana, years before any of the other margarita "creation myths". (Daisies are a family of cocktails that include a base spirit, liqueur, and citrus. According to cocktail historian David Wondrich, the margarita is related to the brandy daisy ( margarita is Spanish for "daisy"), remade with tequila instead of brandy. The history of the margarita is shrouded in mystery and folklore due to its numerous origin stories. The margarita is one of the world's most popular cocktails and the most popular tequila-based cocktail. Most bars serve margaritas in a stepped-diameter variant of a cocktail glass or champagne coupe called a margarita glass. Margaritas can be served either shaken with ice (on the rocks), without ice (straight up), or blended with ice (frozen margarita). ![]() Some margarita recipes include simple syrup as well and are often served with salt on the rim of the glass. † Margarita recipe at International Bartenders AssociationĪ margarita is a cocktail consisting of tequila, triple sec, and lime juice. Shake and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Margarita IBA official cocktailĪdd all ingredients into a shaker with ice. For other uses, see Margarita (disambiguation). Actually, many people work together to create this first part of any space expedition. It can be used to create rockets that fly into space and even lets you design your own rocket! To begin a space expedition, you first need to create your rocket. The game Spaceflight Simulator features many additional features beyond just a space flight simulator. And you can learn more by reading this text. Advertisement To understand how the game works, you need to play it! This space exploration game satisfies our curiosity about outer space. After that, they can launch their rockets anywhere they choose provided they can get there. Young students can successfully accomplish this with a little help. Creating a rocket doesn’t become rocket science because the game makes it easy to accomplish. People now know how to create a rocket in the game Spaceflight Simulator. Thanks to years of revolutionary technology, we’ve come a long way. Plus, creating the technology behind building rockets is extremely difficult. Doing research and building rockets both take a huge amount of time, money and manpower. This is why NASA has billions of dollars to work with. This game is the perfect choice for anyone fascinated with space exploration it's a space flight simulation game. As of this writing, over 10 million people have downloaded Spaceflight Simulator from the Google Play store. As a result, many research teams exist to find answers to these mysterious inquiries. How many lifeforms exist beyond our house? Is there any other life outside? What’s outside our house and outer space? How big is outer space really? People and scientists alike have often wondered why these specific questions haven’t been answered. Since Mars' atmosphere is relatively thin, you should use deceleration motors when landing to reduce damage. Additionally, one can travel outside the sphere of influence of Earth and transcend it. Some of the accomplishments that can be achieved on Earth are traveling 5 kilometers, traveling 15 kilometers and entering the planet's sphere of influence. Currently the only place in our solar system where life exists is Earth. Because traveling on these engines is more difficult, landing is much easier. The idea of exploring this planet via aerodynamic engines is a great one. The atmosphere of Venus is 10 kilometers larger than that of Earth, which is the second planet from the sun. Be careful when landing here consider air resistance and the effects of gravity and distance. However, it has no atmosphere, making it hard to land on. The planet Mercury is the closest to the Sun. When traveling through Spacelight Simulator, you won't be destroyed when traveling towards the sun however, its gravitational pull will cause your craft to freeze when you travel 200,000 meters away from it. Going anywhere without being blocked by an invisible wall is possible- even if it's hard- thanks to the game's realism.Īs previously stated, the sun has the largest temperature in the entire universe. The game teaches players that the universe is huge and without boundaries. The game is realistic, but it doesn't eliminate creativity thanks to its underlying message. All you need to do is explore the universe with your space ship. ![]() Anyone can play this game, regardless of education or intelligence. Additionally, use landing pins when approaching a new fuel depot. Then, use solar batteries or two-stage motors to safely land on another planet. When traveling between fuel bunkers, calculate the length of the trip and connect to the fuel chambers. However, creating a larger and heavier spacecraft with additional moving parts requires significant fuel. Additional parts can be paired to create more options or increase speed. Additional options include Thrusters for RCS and docking ports for connecting fuel tanks and engines. Creating a rocket involves choosing engines, fuel tanks, command modules and hulls. The first step in the Spaceflight Simulator is designing your own spacecraft. ![]() When multiple values exist in the host configuration array, a database host will be randomly chosen for each request. Additionally, MSUD patients experience an abnormal course of diseases in simple infections that can lead to permanent damage. Death from cerebral edema will likely occur if there is no treatment. Untreated in older individuals, and during times of metabolic crisis, symptoms of the condition include uncharacteristically inappropriate, extreme or erratic behavior and moods, hallucinations, lack of appetite, weight loss, anemia, diarrhea, vomiting, dehydration, lethargy, oscillating hypertonia and hypotonia, ataxia, seizures, hypoglycaemia, ketoacidosis, opisthotonus, pancreatitis, rapid neurological decline, and coma. The symptoms of MSUD may also present later depending on the severity of the disease. Symptoms associated with thiamine-response MSUD are similar to intermediate MSUD. ![]() Metabolic crisis leading to seizures, coma, and brain damage is still a possibility. Symptoms of lethargy and characterized odor of maple syrup will occur when the individual experiences stress, does not eat, or develops an infection. Intermittent MSUD Ĭontrary to classic and intermediate MSUD, intermittent MSUD individuals will have normal growth and intellectual development. Symptoms associated with classic MSUD also appear in intermediate MSUD. The majority of children with intermediate MSUD are diagnosed between the ages of 5 months and 7 years. Intermediate MSUD has greater levels of residual enzyme activity than classic MSUD. Additional signs and symptoms that can be associated with classic MSUD include intellectual limitation and behavioral issues. Although MSUD can be stabilized, there are still threats of metabolic decompensation and loss of bone mass that can lead to osteoporosis, pancreatitis, and intracranial hypertension. If MSUD is left untreated, central neurologic function and respiratory failure will occur and lead to death. These neurologic signs include athetoid, hypertonia, spasticity, and opisthotonus that lead to convulsions and coma. The infant will then experience increased focal neurologic signs. Subtle symptoms include poor feeding, either bottle or breast, lethargy, and irritability. Infants with classic MSUD will display subtle symptoms within the first 24–48 hours. Symptoms of MSUD varies between patients and is greatly related to the amount of residual enzyme activity. In populations to whom maple syrup is unfamiliar, the aroma can be likened to fenugreek, and fenugreek ingestion may impart the aroma to urine. The smell is also detected in ear wax of an affected individual during metabolic crisis. The disease is named for the presence of sweet-smelling urine, similar to maple syrup, when the person goes into metabolic crisis. It was described by John Menkes in the 1950s. ![]() The condition gets its name from the distinctive sweet odor of affected infants' urine and earwax, particularly prior to diagnosis and during times of acute illness.
